As a mother of 2 boys and former law enforcement i would be thankful for a teacher like this. He was just trying to be proactive. Rules are meant to be followed and you dont deserve special treatment because you're running late.

Too many people these days have a sense of entitlement and unfortunately in this case it is being passed on to her high school student. Thinking because she is running late that rules don't apply to her, sad that sh does not understand there are other parents out there with their children being dropped off at the elementary school and expecting them to be kept safe, whose barriers she is attempting to circumvent because of her actions in making herself late.

He was only trying to protect the littles at the school..the lady needs to follow the rules..God forbid if she hit a child while trying to cut through the line a take a short cut

Good job to the teacher. This woman thinks she’s to be excused because she’s late putting other children at risk. Shame on her. Kids get hit by cars everyday because if idiots like her.

Rita, you were wrong and out of line. The teacher is there to protect the kids for people like you who think the rules don’t apply to them! Take a step back and think about the choice you made to cut through elementary drop off! Rita was WRONG, NOT the teacher!

I applaud this teacher for doing what he felt he needed to do to protect the children! I have witnessed too many accidents at the carpool lane. Parents do not often realize that when they do not follow the rules, there could be serious injuries to children. It is a shame that the administration does not have his back.

That teacher did NOTHING wrong. That lady just seems entitled. There were probably 100 other late people who were waiting their turn. What makes Rita special? Good on that teacher for protecting those students.

Instead of the district calling to apologize to the parent they should have apologized to the teacher. He went above and beyond to protect those children because the parent was in the wrong. She cut the line and said that another teacher before him tried to stop her and she didn't, he jumped on her car so what, a child could have been laying under it.

Ms entitled believes that her time ,& her running late is more important that anyone or anything else; including the lives of children apparently!!! The audacity of this woman is beyond me!!

Teacher should NOT be disciplined.
Parent should be given traffic ticket. Times we stop bending over for every complaint. Parent did not follow rules

I don’t think he did anything wrong. The mother thought she was above the law & she should be reprimanded for child endangerment!! What if that area was for special needs children, she didn’t know, nor did she care!!!
