As an educator who has dealt with “my time is more important” type parents, I don’t not think he should be in any trouble. The mother should be held accountable.

Parent was at fault

Shame on that mom for thinking she shouldn’t have to wait in line. Way to go teacher!

This man is a hero. This woman was completely out of line!

She knew that way was closed. And still, choose to go that way. And people tried to stop her yet she didn't. Even with a teacher on her car! This is not okay. This man was doing the right thing for the right reasons. He was ensuring that student got safely to school and that you can't get a free pass for breaking rules. If you know you are not supposed and ignore people then this was the right way to me.

Thank you for doing what needed to be done to protect innocent children! Shame on Ms. Trimmer-Ray! You broke the law, ignored 2 other teachers, and for what? Because YOU being LATE was more important than CHILDREN being SAFE? You owe this man an apology! I hope your impressionable teenage daughter learns better sense then you have just taught her!

No disciplinary action should be taken towards Mr. Morgan. Shame on this woman who is now trying to attack his character.

Parent was out of line. I work in an elementary school office and see every single day parents who disregard students' safety because they feel the rules don't apply to them.

This teacher went above and beyond to protect children! He should be REWARDED not punished.

Someone breaking the rules because they thought they were too important for them endangered students. Mr. Morgan was trying to stop her.

I fully support coach and teacher Aaron Morgan in the actions he took to protect his students when it is clear that Miss Rita disregarded the safety procedures, other teachers direction, and safety cones put in place to protect the elementary school students during pick-up and drop-off. Miss Rita made it clear she was going to disregard all instruction telling her not cut through the lot (i.e. traffic cones, other teachers trying to stop her, and pick up/drop off protocols, ) and had taken it upon herself to act with a reckless disregard regarding the elementary school children who were loading and unloading in that area. Teacher / Coach Morgan did what he needed to do to protect the children on his watch. Were his methods unorthodox, yes. Were they unprofessional or unwarranted absolutely not. He literally put himself in Peril to try to protect the children that he was responsible for at that school. As such he deserves to be rewarded and not punished for trying to keep order and keep people safe. If anything, the school district should be having a conversation with Miss Rita about her actions, lack of respect, lack of respect, and the danger she was posing to those children all for the sake of her convenience.

He's a hero. Enough said.

I like how no one says Rita hold up... You just admitted that you broke the rules and the teacher called her out for the rule breaking.
