He is a hero and she should be ticketed. She is in the wrong, you wonder why kids are the way they are now, THIS, is the perfect example. Make the parents accountable for their actions. She endangered many.

THIS!!! This right here is what's wrong with kids nowadays....rude, entitled adults attempting to horribly parent children that personally lack any common courtesy, respect for others, refuse to believe any rules apply to them and in turn pass this spoiled brat mentality right onto their kids. Rules and procedures are there for reasons you stupid woman. We need to stop condoning ridiculous behavior and the way the school system handled this woman is a perfect example.

I fully support the actions of this teacher. He is protecting the children! This man is a HERO!!

Coach Young should be commended for taking his responsibility to protect the children at all costs as seriously as he does. Rita still doesn't get how ridiculous she looks in this situation, and the message that she is teaching her daughter will cause her to follow in the same entitled way. If she and the media who reported this as if Rita is a victim don't see it now, what will it take?

She was WRONG. When one runs late it is their fault. Plan ahead! This teacher should receive an award for doing his job!

Thank for protecting the children. You are a hero. In this world today, you never know what someone’s intentions are and we must have our guard up at all times as teachers.

This teacher did what was RIGHT to protect the schools students! You should consider yourself lucky to have such a man working for you! ‘Mom’ was 100% in the wrong, she has no right barreling through a blocked area where kids are supposed to cross, she is no more important than any other parent trying to get their kid to school.

Good job upholding school rules- entitled parents raise entitled kids... enough is enough!

Our worked needs more people like this teacher. He put his life on the line ri protect the children of his school. He deserves a raise and the woman should be prosecuted.

With all of the loose nuts out there, she could have been out to do harm. Nobody knew her intent when she clearly proceeded to ignore and break the rules that are there to protect the students. He is a hero, she is an entitled idiot.

This teacher was protecting children! The superintendent is supposed to be doing that also, instead they apologize to the person endangering children! Ridiculous and should be recalled!

This teacher should be applauded. He acted as any committed teacher would he protected kids from this wreckless driver. She admittedly drove passed cones and ignored people telling her she couldn’t pass. Action should be taken against her

I’m so embarrassed for this teacher... here he was trying to protect children & teach them right from wrong & the school district entertained an ignorant, self-appointed entitled, disobedient nut case... way to set an example for the kids, they’ve learned that doing wrong and throwing a temper tantrum gets you attention!
