A teacher protecting students and a law breaking parent thinking she was the victim. Shake my head. Good job on the teachers part! Poor and dangerous example set by the parent.

I work pickups at intermediate school. Parents are often putting children at risk sometimes unknowingly because of inattentiveness and sometimes from frustration and impatience. It is our responsibility to ensure the children’s safety and enforce rules

Do not punish a teacher that went above and beyond his duty to protect your students from someone who blantantly and selfishly broke the rules and drove through and area she wasn’t supposed to be in. Have you ever seen someone who is late drive the speed limit? I’m betting she was speeding as well and driving wrecklessly around the cones. This woman needs to learn time management and that her actions for not keeping track of time has the consequence of being late and children should not be put in harms way because she cannot keep track of time.

Great job Coach Young. Keep up the good work. If kids keep seeing Parents break the rules then they will as well. Keep holding these parents accountable for their actions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is pure entitlement at its finest, and any common sense administrator would know this! I would have jumped on the car and invited the rest of the staff to do the same! Give the man a raise!!!

Coach Johnson is awesome coach for protecting our kids! He should be the teacher of the year who goes above ans beyond to keep the kids safe!

Punishment should be directed at the parent who was acting irresponsible.

This man did the RIGHT thing! How dare the school discipline him! That woman should be cited and she owes him and the public an apology!

As a teacher myself, I hope this man keeps his job. His sole interest was protecting kids in the area, who could've gotten hurt because of the woman's negligent actions:

I walk my two sons (6 & 7) to our neighborhood school everyday and I'm thankful when the teachers working drop-off are bold enough to speak up when people are breaking rules that are set in place to keep kids safe.
