You can get funding from other places, but erasing tools of inclusion is never the answer and will lead to decreased enrollment.

He helped me so much with my living situation my first year. I had to move roommates because I’m gay. He, and the programs of the department, made a huge difference in my life. Helped me literally survive college.

Please recant the dismemberment of my Alma mater's DEI program and reinstate the staff who make events like the Fireball happen. These are enriching events that give the school its character and show that this Midwestern town appreciates more than the status quo

We have benefited as a whole community with Chris driving the conversation about creating safe and welcoming spaces for students. As a member of the ECASD Board of Education, we proudly stood by Chris as he led our staff through hard conversations that greatly improved the lives of all of our students.

I can not say enough good things about Chris and the INCREDIBLE work he has done over so many years. My experiences as a student and staff would not have been the same without his tireless work.

UWEC was such an important place in my life, and a large part of that was how inclusive and welcoming to all it was. Chris has done amazing work and created amazing events for UWEC.

Deeply disappointing. A liberal arts education requires people like Chris, a stalwart advocate in my time at UWEC. DON'T OBEY IN ADVANCE.

I was a dancer in the very first Fireball. Even in just the couple years I was involved, it grew so much. UWEC's support for Chris and his work has always been something that made me feel proud to be a Blugold alumni. This is a horrible decision that will affect so many, and I am truly so saddened to hear about this.

This is not the UWEC my husband and I remember from our time there, when it was widely recognized that having a diverse faculty and student body enhances the learning experience for all students, preparing them for better success in the world, and promotes a more vibrant, inclusive and better community for everyone in it. I am appalled to read this about an instituion I was proud to attend. Do better, UWEC!
