If the ministers said to "recuse" themselves during investigation, then why did they want to rent the state-owned properties knowing it would bring much speculations and cause much anxiety, problems and inconvenience to oneself and others? More so, to involve mainly civil servants of low ranking and high ranking civil servants to investigate the matter. Thus literally causing disruptions in their normal cause of duties and hence "squandering" of taxpayers' monies in view that the salaries of these civil servants of both high and low ranking arecdrwn from taxpayers' monies - wasting of time and resources as a result. In my opinion, why get their own peers to conduct the investigation? How much can the public trust? Yes, to call for an independent party not related to the govt body to conduct an true and factual COI is needed to ascertain the true facts of the rentals.

I wasn't convinced there were indiscretions by Shanmugam nor Vivien, but PAP confirmed there was indiscretions when LHL appointed SM Teo to investigate themselves! Is PAP blind? Even a child can see how unjust this is!!

I've seen how ownself check ownself results in blatant injustice and cover ups. Please let the oppies investigate with a COI. Full and frank disclosure required, anything less would result in negative inference of all people involved.

Corruption comes in many forms. Let's investigate to see if there has been greed & corruption in this case. More transparency is needed. Kudos to KJ for unearthing this.

Should let an independent party to investigate it.

I cannot accept the results of the inquiry headed by TCH becos TCH is himself involved in the matter concerned. Not an independent inquiry.

Too much outrageous and unacceptable things happen in this country due to the abuse of Singapore’s highest officials. It’s time to take the Peoples’ Stand, STOP all this unfair and unjust goings on. This is extreme low class Singapore.

1G good job for 'No corruption, and intergrity' for the nation. So many past offender were punished. It must be fair for them if no COI on this Ridoutgate matter! All 1G's good job will goes to the DRAIN!
