General practice erosion is heartbreaking. As Ciara Kelly said these new proposals eg extension of under 6 free care are simply 'deckchairs on the Titanic'...IMO and the academic representatives are totally out of touch and certainly do not represent my opinion.

Still an IMO member for now. However I recognise its limited role as a representative body for Irish GPs. Historically, IMO staff have been very helpful to me on a major GMS payment issue.

I ask that the health minister does not assume that the IMO represents all GPs in Ireland and does not unilaterally introduce any contract extensions regarding free health care without the consent of the majority of GPs
