The Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has recently approved 18 high rise tower blocks totaling 5,428 apartment units in Taman Desa, Bukit Desa and Bukit Desa.

These high density projects would definitely impact on our living environment. They will cause massive traffic jam, creating indiscriminating parking of cars at roadside, congesting on amenities and public green area, and there are no LRT or MRT services within reach.

We are not aware of any infrastructure plan to mitigate congestion of traffic, improve utility services, namely water supply, drainage and sewerage to support the rapid surge of the new 5,428 apartment units.

Taman Desa Residents Association (TDRA) has raised all the above issues to DBKL, but we have been ignored by DBKL, some of the projects have been opened for booking to buyers.

Therefore, we call upon all the Taman Desa residents to sign the petition to urge DBKL to stop all the high density projects.
