Not against voluntary mask wearing. Just against this tyrannical mandate to wear them whether we want to or not.

As an essential worker I have been out since day one in this. It's my freedom and my choice you are trying to take. Not my safety you are worried about!

Cant wear mask medical reasons

I'm not against face masks. I'm against an order for face masks. If someone requests I wear one in their business, that's fine. If a client of mine requests I wear one, that's fine. If the city is trying to mandate that we wear them? That's not fine. It puts excessive burden on businesses to enforce a policy or be fined. A policy that their employees and clients may not prefer. And businesses have already been hurt by the policies enacted in this town, this one makes it likely that they will suffer even more. It puts undue burden on individuals with health conditions that prevent them wearing a face masks, as now they will be singled out and their HIPAA rights violated. Not to mention potentially lead to individuals not wearing masks due to health conditions being bullied or harassed by individuals who don't understand the situation. It goes against the city's own suggestions. They have stated that masks are helpful when social distancing is not possible. So rather than focusing on social distancing (already listed in the current health order that is currently active) they are trying to add mask wearing even when people are social distancing as long as they are indoors and in contact with people (no mention of if social distancing is not possible). It's addressing the wrong issue.

No mask mandate!!! Educate yourself on their actual usefulness before making law they required.

Something that has a .4% mortality rate should not have this country in so much fear. I should have the right to chose to wear a mask or not. If other people want to wear a mask, cool. If they really work, why do I need to wear one if someone else is already wearing one to protect themselves?

Ask my husband he is a physician in Columbia !! He is a pediatrician you will all be responsible for the health of our children. Masks lowers your oxygen levels !! Kids will pass out at schools fall because they can’t see!!! They should only be worn by people who are sick not Well!! They Do not prevent the virus look at the data stop being sheeps. Wash hands keep distance !! Do you have a physician on your board You will all be legally responsible for the injuries that will occurs by this ordnance. I have been wearing a mask out of respect I cant tell you the number of times I’ve almost fell and become sick because they are hot!! Let people decide on their own quit telling us what to do this is our responsibility not yours !!! If you want to hear how dangerous this is for our children call dr Douglas beal in Columbia a pediatrician for over 40 yrs!! We don’t wear masks in our office but sanitize get a good history and will put one on if a client wants us to!!

Masks are not proven to work. And can actually harm individuals. This is not ok.
