We Oppose Greyhound Racing NSW Betting Revenue Reduction

the greyhounds should be entitled to a fairer share since they are generating revenue and with extra money the industry could develop some country tracks to TAB status and there fore generate mor eincome for the industry

Greyhound racing in NSW contributes 20% of revenue through TAB turnover, why should we only get 10% of the tax reduction money???

Its not difficult for the Government to justify a better deal for greyhound racing if it is reasonable and fair.

This government complains about not getting it's fair share of the GST and how it subsidies the other states. Shame on the government for doing the same to the greyhound community. This is just government corruption with no transparency with a view to only look after the other codes.

We contribute 22 per cent to TAB coffers and are to receive only 10 per cent from the tax reduction which is totally unexceptable.

Greyhound participants have been let down for long enough. If this doesn't get overturned then enough is enough. It is time that the participants stopped being the host of a parasite and started to see reality.

We deserve more

Greyhounds TAB turnover is 18%+ , hence it is illogical and unfair to have only 10% of tax reduction fund distribution

Greyhounds have always copped the raw end at the fixed percentage,qld &vic go ahead nsw backwards.

This is not a fair decision. The Government and Animal Activist Groups want us to increase our welfare programmes and thus our welfare spending. This cannot be achieved if we do not get the correct funding. Our proposed proportion of the NSW Betting Revenue Reduction of 9% is far too low and does not reflect the contribution that greyhound racing makes to the wagering pool which is closer to 20%. This Bill should be stopped in its tracks and put up for discussion in the Parliament. The inequity to the Greyhound Industry in NSW must stop.
