BDS is anti-semite and anti-Palestine. Both Israeli's and Palestinian' s will lose their jobs, but it will hurt the Palestinians more, since Israeli companies pay better and provide more benefits than Palestinian owned ones. I have lived there and have witnessed the realities of this first hand.

I'm in Astralia. Maybe you should ban companies who sell to Oz. Australia has a bad record of treatment of our first peoples, the Aboriginies.

Really? With all the killing in Syria, Iraq & Iran , you want to divest from the only democracy in the area where Jews & Arabs live together on a daily basis, mostly in peace - unless a MOSLEM, incited by the imams, decides to stab someone.

Portland may be weird but this is outright stupidity. You have to be very determined to ignore the facts that Israel is the leader in human rights in the Middle East. No other country grants the level of human rights and freedoms that Israel does. And anyone that determined to ignore the facts is not pursuing human rights but human repression on a monumental scale.

Portland is viewed as a vibrant and liberal but just city in which to live. Your city's Human Rights Commission has tarnished your reputation. I am not a citizen of Portland, but I am a citizen of the United States. I am appalled by your support of BDS. However, I am not surprised. Antisemitism has always been the servant of tyranny. Tyranny is never acceptable, unless cloaked with the propaganda of "human rights" or somebody's "rights" as to another's. Follow the lead of today's leftist tropes, and there you will find an antisemitic "human rights activist" hand in hand with a totalitarian.

This Commission should be fired for acting without holding a meeting with both sides of an issue, especially an issue that is offensive, antisemitic, and contrary to the mission of Portland.

Human Rights is as far flung from this proposal as it could be. BOYCOTT BDS as the Human Rights violators.

As a new Portlander, I am disappointed that this hateful idea is even being considered. No country is perfect as we Americans know firsthand but please consider that Israel stands in stark contrast to its neighbors in securing the right of all its citizens: Jew, Muslim, Christian, Baha'i, Zoroastrian , (And their places of worship) gay, straight, male or female. Learn more before agreeing to brand Portland as bigoted.
