On behalf of every student, professor, and alumni who have attended Northeastern University we desperately NEED a printing room in Ryder Hall. Home to the graphic design program, IDV graduate students, studio arts students, game design and animation students, theater and music students, and anyone else who roams these halls on a daily basis the printing situation is dire and has been for years. Not being able to use your Northeastern allocated printing dollars and being forced to add money to your husky card in order to print is flat out unjust. As design students we print something every day and having to pay more money out of pocket to print from the building all our classes are in is robbery. We believe that like all other students we should be able to use our allocated printing dollars for what we do in our studio and design classes everyday, print things out and look at them. This will reduce pain points for professors and students with having to wait for a student to "go print something" at Snell. In addition the quality of the printing at Snell is less than satisfactory this routinely interferes with out ability to assess our work and make progress on our projects.

The following printing additions would greatly contribute to the success of every design student at Northeastern:

1. A Plotter in Ryder Hall for large format printing

2. 1 8.5x11 color printer that accepts Northeastern Printing dollars

3. 2 color tabloid (11x17) printer that accepts Northeastern Printing dollars

4. 2 black and white tabloid (11x17) printer that accepts Northeastern Printing dollars

5. Equal pricing for students printing in Ryder Hall as the rest of campus.

Because having only 4 color tabloid printers and 4 black and white tabloid printers at Snell Library leads to overflow- long wait times- and horrible quality color/prints.
