In Savannah Georgia 2 woman left their animals in a storage unit in carriers and abandoned them. Four cats and one dog were found dead after several months passed and no payment was received on the unit. The woman could face charges or animal neglect but these will not be felonies and they may only receive a slap on the wrist. We need to stand up and say this behavior is not okay and push for felony charges as a result of her carelessness that led to the prolonged suffering and death of 4 helpless animals. If we dont stand together and fight for these animals who will? Who will be their voice and help to push for felony charges against people who fell that animals are just a short time play toy to be thrown away at a later day with no care for the pets well being just because they are tired or bored of them. This is not acceptable and studies show that animal abusers usually go on to abuse humans as they age.
