The Kentucky Childcare Council along with the elected lawmakers have made cuts to the Childcare Assistance program. These cuts have left many single parent families without the ability to work! How can anyone support a family without working? The lawmakers have taken away a tool that not only helps bring people out of poverty by allowing them to work but cuts down on any higher education these families would look into taking due to lack of childcare. It is almost as if we are being punished for having families and trying to better their lives!
