Having been a lifelong resident of WGC, I have great memories of summers @ Stanborough Pool. In fact I spent so much time at the pool, I got myself a job during the summer holidays. Shame on our local council for not consulting the residents on their proposals. HIgh Ropes - unpopular, and a very costly mistake. It is an ideal spot for a wet play area and ideally located adjacent to the A1 for non residents. Come on Welwyn Hatfield Council - have some vision.

welwyn and Hatfield have no facilities for family days , most other towns have some sort of wet play but since stanborough pool has closed nothing has replaced it except a pathetic fenced climbing frame where it was deemed unsafe before it even opened typical for our council .

This will bring a lot more people to WGC and to our town centre in WGC and Hatfield. The kids have nothing to do here. Instead of wasting money spend it on something the people want not just what the council thinks is a great idea. It's wasting tax payers money

Too late for my children - now all grown up and missed out through all the delays. But WGC needs this!
