Much needed there is nothing for our children nothing we need more than a wet play area we need facilities in welwyn garden city , it's all in hatfeild .. Ok if you have a car , plus no venue for children's parties when they get invited from school mothers without cars cannot take their children to their much loved friends parties . This town needs to put it's children first they are our future , they shouldn't be stuck indoors on games consoles it will cost the nhs billions in years to come , enough tax payers money going on facilities that throw hard earned workers money down the drain, welwyn garden city has always had a snobbery about it and needs a more downto earth face lift , it's why I never sighned the petition against tescos wanting to give the town a swimming pool . Apart from loving swimming myself , swimming also needs to be affordable as a disabled mother who gets to see her children once every 2 weeks a swimming trip to hatfeild plus a meal and bus fares costs me £50 . People with money do not know these hardships many parents face just to give their children fun and education that the rich take for granted ... Thank you Danielle Milliken

We have waited so long my kids are almost too old now, such a shame. Petitioning so others don't miss out like we have.. Splash park would be so much safer than paddling in the stanborough stream

The old pool has been gone for years. There is plenty of space and we were promised a replacement facility and there is the budget.

Huge catchment and lots of space - what is the hold up? We have a huge fitness centre, Gosling, but no swim/splash pool. Not expensive to run and the years are getting warmer... Again, what's the hold up?

I spent many happy hours at Stanborough pool as a child & teenager & then as a parent with my children. Disappointed to hear that it closed & that the council have then reneged on a promise to replace the facility. Nothing like it exists in the area or where I now live it was unique

Can't believe this was closed in the first place. Give the people a wet play area now. Stand by your promises

It's seems such a waste of land there are so many local families that would use a water play Park or an outdoor pool
