Final supporters
The residents of WGC have been promised a wet play facility at Stanborough for many years since the closure of the much loved outdoor pool. We are no longer prepared to wait and are now calling for Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council to use the budget that is set aside and begin work on the proposed site. We are fed up with procrastination and delays.

The council's been talking about a water park since 2008, yet all we get is High Ropes which cost a fortune and when finally open will be one time only attraction for most, if they can afford it. Time for WHBC to do the right thing by residents.
Please put this through for the residents of WGC... The one in Stevenage has provided so much joy to families who are not always able to afford big days out for their children... It really does promote community spirit when the children can come together and play.
We go to Stevenage & Letchworth splash parks all the time in summer. they are so much fun for the kids and safe too. We would love one to come to WGC. A little coffee shop there too, selling ice creams would be a definite winner.
I agree we do need a swimming back in wgc it was a main atttraction for every one and gave us all an enjoyable outside activity, plus enjoyable exercise. Residents were promised another pool in its place before stanborough swimming pool was destroyed. We're still waiting!
This was and would be again a great and we'll utilised asset to the local community. I used to take my kids there all the time I the summer holidays and my daughter is the lifeguard in the picture sitting in the chair
When I was a child there was the pool at steambourough. It was so much fun. It brought in lots of money to the bourough. There's nothing for our kids to do. Please let them have what I had
Some of m best memories of my childhood l were at the old water park. BRING IT BACK!

I loved Stanborough pool - more recently named Splashland I used to go there with my brothers and sisters and then spent most summers there with my two children. Please bring it back so more families can enjoy it as me and my family did.
