There are 100+ people from Darien paying $1000+ to New Canaan to use their pool at Waveny each summer.

We also belong to a pool in another town. Our family would be extremely happy if our town would build a pool. The water in Darien for most of the season is not suitable for swimming. I also find it disconcerting that our high school swim team has to practice at the Y. Having also an indoor pool for these athletes to train would make a lot more sense.

We need a pool! We need to stop paying other town exorbitant amounts of money to use their pools.

I am from westport and having a town pool is very important to the community, and also for real estate agents trying to attract families. It can likely pay for itself in terms of additional town pool fees and also bring jobs to teenagers in the town in terms of swimming lessons and life guarding. I am very in favor, please reach out if I can do anything to help.

Live in Darien. Currently giving $$ to Stamford for a summer pool membership, and their "local" caterer is in Greenwich. Let's bring that to Darien.

I totally agree that Weed Beach is the perfect place for a town community pool. Not everyone can afford to spend thousands of dollars just to have access to a pool!
