We need this lab in sligo too many services have been taken away from our area and it's time we got them back!! My own father in law had a heart attack and from the time playing a huge part in his luck as I'll call it not as many are as lucky to make Galway!!

Working in a Cath Lab in Dublin, I see the immediate benefits for patients when their blocked arteries are opened. Time is of the essence when dealing with blocked arteries as Heart muscle is starved of oxygen. The longer the blockage is left, the greater the damage that's caused. Cath Lab for Sligo and it's surrounding Counties is crucial. Why should we have such limited services with a National STEMI policy in place when there are multiple Hospitals on call per night in Dublin. Paying with our long term health and lives for living in the North West.

I belive that reducing the time needed to transfer patients to either galway or dublin, would save lifes, boosts the sligo general hospitals reputation even further.

Absolutely essential . Current angiogram service only runs on a Wednesday and does not provide stents.

My uncle died as a result of poor cardiac services in Sligo university hospital would not like to see anybody else die as a result
