It made me smile the first time I saw it lit up and with seating and lots of vendors. It reminded me of small town community get togethers. The modern never ending regulations choking society needs to stop. 50 years ago this simple community event would have been praised. Do not stop this, rather, encourage it to grow. It is what the people need right now.

I’ve been going to the pit before it was even 6 food trucks and was only the taco truck in the beginning, please don’t shut down the pit!!

The Pit is a wonderful asset to the community, users of the Loop, and small businesses. It has provided a wonderful gathering place for food trucks and local residents. I hope the City will continue to work with them as well as look at modifying regs that may impede this and other similar places.

As part of the ultimate goal at providing a livable city at reasonable costs, Tucson is way ahead of most cities. Allowing flexibility as they do in such instances is great for everyone, businesses and jobs and great food. Every avenue the city peruses to help us become self sustaining, creates a stronger city. Working for a chain store generates very little revenue for the local community.
