The Pit has good food and is a nice, safe place for our community to hang out and share a meal. I think we would like to see the city support these small businesses and help with the rebuilding of some of our small businesses since so many small businesses took a hit or closed down due to covid.

I am seeking to understand more. What is the purpose of this petition? The State Law supersedes any city codes and/or permitting so the city cannot require anything more than the law. So Food Trucks are Free and this Law states that. Unless I’m missing something a petition isn’t necessary since this law is in place. As long as food trucks have the health dept permit, city business registration, state and federal tax i.d and insurance go park in a legal parking spot and don’t block the right away. Park and Open.

They help out the community by bringing us all together and we can finally find a place that is friendly to all food trucks!

I've lived down the street for 33 years, that corner has always been a huge problem and for the first time in my life that corner is now a positive place for the community. Getting rid of the pit would be a huge step backwards for tucson.

This is ludicrous. Tucson has SO many other issues. Let the Food Trucks do their business and let the City focus on REAL issues.
