Beautiful old German town and would like to see it stay that way.

I think the restrictions on setbacks and FAR are too much!!

Incredibly disappointed that our town leaders will try to squash the livelihood of so many hard-working individuals including myself who is native. This is so wrong!!!!

I am employed through a local company who is based around STRs , this would greatly impact my way of living. The same company also employees many other of my friends and a family member.

To whom it may concern, my wife and I are long time visitors to the beautiful and charming city of Fredericksburg, Texas. We fell in love with the community after making our first visit in 1996 to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary, and we have returned at least once every year since then. We have introduced a number of friends and family members to the area over the years as well. On EVERY visit, we have chosen to stay in various short term rentals within the city, repeating at some of our favorites. We have enjoyed watching the city grow, expanding options for residents and visitors alike, while still maintaining its charm and character. After over 23 years of dreaming of having our own B&B, we made our dream come true in 2020 by purchasing 2 existing short term rentals as well as a home of our own. In 2021, we purchased an additional property as an STR. We have a deep and sincere passion for hospitality as well as a love for Fredericksburg! There was no better way to combine those two than to offer visitors to the area a safe, comfortable and convenient place to stay while here. We hope our efforts help them fall in love with this town as we did so many years ago. Over the course of the very short time as STR operators, we have poured hundreds of thousands of our own dollars into the Fredericksburg economy via LOCAL contractors, banks and businesses. We utilize local small businesses, the backbone of our great nation, for real estate, property management, landscaping, irrigation, plumbing, painting, roofing, handyman services, and so much more, as well as supplies from various other local retailers. We dine in local restaurants and purchase in local shops for our own personal enjoyment as well! In addition to our own personal spending, we direct our guests to local restaurants, wineries, transportation services, boutiques, retailers and more as well. And we are but one of hundreds of hosts helping to better this city while ensuring it maintains its ident

We love Fredericksburg and feel lucky to own property there. We are asking the city to recognize and appreciate the tremendous value and resources short term rentals bring to the community.

Yes, Marc, fair and equitable to both those wanting to operate a str and those who do not want to operate a str. If an owner or group of owners on a block do not want their property to be a str, then they can know after equitable election deadline passes, no permits will be issued for those who do not apply.

A fair solution that provides equal benefits for all current and future STR owners.
