This is not acceptable. Some people were given 2 hours to choose their options that is not enough. They're just trying to make themselves look good, such a good school isn't it

They are taking away opportunities that were promised to the students. They do not care for the students wellbeing. More maths and English teachers? Woopie doo! I'm sure that will look great on the school prospectus! BUT WHAT ABOUT THE STUDENTS? this is a SCHOOL. We make up the majority of the school! DO WE EVEN MATTER? BRING BACK WHAT WE WERE PROMISED!

Some people were given 2 hours to change or confirm their option and that's not enough time as they may have wanted to talk to their parents about their late gcse choice

Computing is the future and that is where the focus should be as well as maths and English. It is understandable they are focused on as core subjects, but coding is the future and we should be taking all steps to give young girls in particular the chance to code!

I would have loved to do this as a GCSE. But because of all the staffing issues I decided not to. Now they do this to all the people who wanted to take it as a GCSE. That is sick.

Whs is supposed to be a specialised school in maths and computing and yet they don't even do computing GCSE! This is what I do not get

I fully understand this as I had the same problem for myself around 2 years ago. This has basically stopped me from doing this course later on for A-level or BTEC as I don't have as much knowledge as I should when entering at that level. I don't want this to happen to anyone else because it is a greatly missed opportunity. Hope it all goes well.

I personally don't do computing but I believe this is completely unacceptable. The staff realised that they need a teacher for the Computing department. They knew since last year! But only at last minute did they tell these students that they are unable to complete or even start this GCSE. I understand it is hard to find a suitable and experienced teacher, but telling students at the last minute is completely unjust and completely disorganized. It's a shame that because of this they are limiting student opportunities.

I am doing it early and I find it ridiculous that barely any people do it for GCSE at all due to lack of staff and encouragement! Our futures are going to be greatly influenced by technology but less and less people have to proper knowledge to help us advance!

This is very inconvenient especially if you're considering a career in the computing field.

I think it is very unfair that the school have not allowed the GCSE students the ability to reach their full potential and achieve their dreams and future careers which may be affected by the school not letting them have the qualifications needed.

Why are they making 2 AstroTurfs isn't it going to be the only school with 2. I guess that is pretty stupid. There is a reason why most schools have none and some do have 1 but no schools have 2. WHS teachers should get a hint.
