Angola have the highest rate of child mortality in the world with 260 deaths per 1000 under 5 years old children. My goal is to decrease the rate of child mortality in Angola, the goal is achievable but it won't be easy. To make it happen, I need every person around the world to contribute and sign this petition.

Angola’s economy is still recovering from almost three decades of civil war, about 43 percent of people are still living below the poverty line. Hygiene, healing, and care are not offered to everyone. Some children die because they can't give their body enough food, they have lack of safe water and food sources. There are also children that got HIV positive from their birth because the virus is transmitted to them by their mother, which 13% of them dies under age of 5. The return of Polio is the major virus that is troubling for the health of Angolan children. Some children regularly die or are handicapped by the disease.

Every one of you can help to achieve this goal by just signing your name and support. Your signatures and supports will be delivered to the Angola government and charities by the latest January 2015. The Angola government and charities will contribute and raise money. Providing tons of food — along with seeds, tools, and training — to families struggling with hunger. Offering families, agricultural improvement training and increasing access to clean water and clean food. Improving the health of children through providing children’s primary health care, nutrition education, and HIV and AIDS awareness.

Providing them safe water and food sources are the first and foremost priority because if they don't fill their body with foods, they won't be able to live for a long time. And if all the food/water they eat or drink is all full of disease, they can develop serious illness like cholera, typhoid fever. Their body is taking many germs, bacterias and parasites which is not good for their health. Before they die from the HIV, AIDS and Polio, they may have already died because of all the germs in their body from those dirty water and food.

Hlumelo is a 4 years old and lives in Angola. Hlumelo lives with his mother and one sister. His mother struggles to provide for the family. Hlumelo is growing up in a poor area in Angola. The HIV and AIDS crisis has severely damaged the social fabric of the entire community, leaving many children to death or without parents. Many families live in small clay and brick homes with tin or thatched roofs. A typical diet consists of maize, potatoes, beans, cabbage, spinach, pumpkins, and carrots. The terrain is uneven with rolling hills, plateaus, and two rivers. Your sponsorship commitment will help provide Hlumelo and his community with improved healthcare and support, emphasizing assistance to those affected by HIV and AIDS. With your support, children can fill their body with enough foods. Farmers are offered seeds and training on new farming methods, improving their health and incomes. Your commitment and prayers enable these children and families to experience the love of God and life in all its fullness.
