They have attempted in the wrong way. The way I see it, we're in high school. If someone makes a choice to not do their work, then that's their choice and they will have to deal with the repercussions of making that decision. If someone gets through the tenth grade passing everything with guesses and 27 attempts at one test and then they don't know anything for the upcoming year, years, decades, life, etc. then that is on them. There is no use trying to control everyone, especially those who have have made the decision to waste their time.
However, for those students that do want to work and get things done and be successful, the environment itself is not working whatsoever. I, for one, absolutely cannot work in an environment with any type of noise. Additionally, and I know I am not the only one who has this problem, not being able to face the classroom is very concerning to me. I have to be able to see what is going on around me, and it is distracting to me that I can't see my surroundings and it creates the perfect environment for an anxiety attack.
To combat the noise problem I suggest that there are designated rooms wherein people who want to collaborate, for long periods of time, as opposed to just a quick question, can work without distracting others who are sensitive to noise. There are also students who are not only disrespectful to the students around them, but to the teachers and classroom environment, i.e. throwing tables, chairs, and the under parts of some chairs. They should be dealt with separately and without exception. As for the desk arrangement there are many other ways in which the desks can be arranged so that the teachers can view the screens. That is not for me to decide or think about, but I am saying it does need to be fixed.

The PLP isn't the best way to learn, but we're going to have to deal with it. They're not going to take away the PLP no matter what we do. But, they can change PLT. It makes me angry how they tell us to act like adults and that we're going to be in college soon when we're treated like we're in 4th grade. it doesn't make sense. They set us up in a way where the teachers breathe down our necks as well as the people sitting next to us. It's PERSONALIZED learning time. If you fall behind, that's on you. That's the whole point. And the paperwork are you kidding? You literally have to fill out a collaboration form just to ask the person next to you a question. Instead of wasting my time filling out pointless paperwork, I could be taking notes or doing something actually productive. At this point, I think the teachers just want to control everything we do and I'm so sick of it.

I agree that the paperwork is dumb. In a normal high school we don't need to fill out a paper and tell the teacher we studied to take the test. BVP wants to be different and that's fine. But they could do something like letting us take a content assessment outside of school only on the school chromebook. If there were tabs ever open then it shouldn't count. Also, if we study over the break and people want to get their work done early the likelihood of them remembering everything from multiple focus areas is slim. And that's not because of our study tactics. Those come in when we can't pass an assessment after some tries. If we could take assessments when we are ready which includes outside of school I guarantee that most of the kids would be getting themselves out of the hole.

I hate PLT in general but to make it. The PLT is annoying and how we have to fill out things to take a content assessment. I feel like PLT can be a lot better.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything but I need some personal space, Everyone is touching elbows in the new classroom setup. I can hear the person breathing next to me, it's not fun trying to read an article and have heavy breathing by my ear while I have my music on.

It takes more time to fill out the paperwork than to get your goal done.
