It's not patriotic to display other countrys' flags on your buildings.

How much more in our face does this need to be. The whole conflict has been based on a tremendous number of lies, and because of this, the flag isn't representing the truth of the situation and is taking over our streets.

Hi, I hope enough people get behind this protest and stop this political stunt. It is not just divisive in the community but could have much wider repercussions to the economy. Read her the impact already on Glasgow.

Thanks John and especially if you initiated this protest (which I assume you did).
I really hope that the people of Inverclyde will take a firm stance on this. There is a lot more riding on it than most people realise.
Best Wishes to you,
Lynn

I would like to thank the Regimental Blues and its chairman Mr Kris McGurk for all their support of our petition.
We continue to gain massive support, not just locally, but from all over Britain which has given us great encouragement and shows just how divisive and worrying Mr McElenys proposal is.
Thanks again.

Many thanks to John Montomery for his comment which I agree with and to all who have had the passion to sign. Please continue to share. It is very important that we do not allow bias (especially by the media) to influence and divide our community. Why is it being proposed to raise only the Palestinian flag in support of the casualties of Gaza when there are millions suffering in the world through conflict in Iraq, Somalia, Syria etc etc etc etc. Why has it never been proposed to fly their flags? Maybe because the concern is not genuine but jumping on the political bandwagon, and political bias, is my proposal to the council...

Thanks for supporting our petition Lynn and we are confident that the voice of the majority will be heard in regards to this political stunt.
We look forward to the response from Inverclyde Council, and hope that they take our objections seriously and do not bend to the one-sided agenda proposed by SNP Cllr Christopher McEleny.
Again, thanks Lynn and to all who have given us support.

Well done to Edinburgh for rejecting the flying of the Palestine flag.
Their alternative is truly a smack in the face of those with a political agenda.
We salute you.
