Montclair State University is in the process of building a $210,000 12-foot bronze statue depicting the school’s red-tailed hawk mascot, with reasoning that it will "leave a long-lasting impact and build a school spirit".

Let our university know that we do not support this decision. University funds should go toward student needs, and what we need is more parking. Unless we can park our cars inside this giant hawk, we don't want it.
This petition cannot stop the hawk from being built. But it can still serve to voice our opinions, and let the university know, that their students do not approve of such wasteful spending.
