We should not be subjected to the whims of Relgious groups. If it is a relgious requirement, then the ones who believe in it should pay for that belief. I also ask the question, what did Muslims eat before this Certifcation come into force? Nothing, I think not, this is global extortion and nothing else.

I do not want to pay for Halal certification on my food. I am a christian and object to paying religious taxes.

Certificates should be handed out by government to stop this corrupt industry. The fact a pork company now has a halal certificate shows it's about money & not religion

Groceries are expensive enough. Let those who require 'certified' food fund such certification.

I opposed to have any religious certification placed on all foods without it being transparent. Over the how many years this certification rort has been going on, I am shocked that this was forced upon me. It is against not only my own religion by also my principles. It's time that the religious groups who want any certification on any foods pay for the process themselves and not forces upon. It should be transparent so we know when we pick up an item and place it in our shopping trolley it is clearly labelled so we know what we are buying and what we are supporting.
