We would like the “Logic: Advanced Course” course code (W02N0A) to be made available to 3rd year BA students this year. Even for those of us yet to pursue the masters, we will not be able to take it in 2014/15, given the alternative year nature of the course. The course specification states ‘this course will build from scratch, so strictly speaking no previous knowledge is required’. Therefore we are officially ready to take this course. We have each passed the introductory logic course, which therefore makes us more than ready. Logic is not sufficiently covered by KU Leuven’s programme and it is of fundamental importance to the study of philosophy, especially for we seeking to pursue an analytic future, to enrich HIW’s future analytic research and those of us seeking to do an Msc in a more analytic philosophy masters. Our reasons differ.
