Since Ben Derges' time at Tri-valley high school as the school principle he has shown an incredible lack of leadership and care for the students enrolled at TVHS. He has failed to meet simple requests from students and staff in regards to bullying, harassment, classroom repair, and even IEP and 504 accommodations. He has made false promises to students regarding bullying or harassing situations and left their needs entirely ignored. This leaves these students feeling as if they must take matters into their own hands which could lead to aggression, violence, and even suicide or self injury. He has failed to respond to approve ideas through student Council regarding after school programs, school dances, etc. He has violated the privacy of the cell phone use policy on countless occasions and he has even trespassed onto student property on more than one occasion as well. He has gone as far as giving punishments to students for situations that happened outside of school and outside his Authority. He has no interest in what's best for the wellbeing of his students and this is evident from his action of removing the Work Co-op program as well as other opportunities students have had in past years. He is clearly unfit for high school principle and this must come to a halt before the rest of the Tri-valley high school population is effected by his actions.
