We as beneficiaries we are not happy with R55.000 that is needed in order to receive our stands

We applied for subsidy land and no payment was part of the application

We are not happy at all about the 55000 they demand us to pay upfront before we get our title deeds. While they was never tell us about paying money before.Theybtold the stands if free just we will build our own houses

When we register we were never told about the R55000, I do not have it since I only get paid 3800

Transparency must prevail at all times. First it was free and now it’s R55 000 before building That’s like buying a new stand which was supposed to be free in the first place.

We as beneficiaries cannot pay the 55k it like we now buying rapid land while this programm was developed to help people to atleast try to build themselves since it takes years to get rdp house not even once the government mentioned that we will pay for it as now they changing the whole thing we signed for the subsidy we only waiting for handover it doesn't make sense that we were told if you getting paid 3500 to 7 k you qualify and now with that salary we expected to pay 55k like how we are being scammed.

I afford to pay R55000 even i ca get a loan ,I earn R7000 with my wife and 3 children going to school, I pay rent R1500,R1300 transport, R2500 food ,R1000 other expenses,,sow I will take me 3to4 years to pay R55000,after that to build a house will be over 6to7 years
