Does Texas have laws regarding a minor or don't they?! There are reasons a person under 18 is not allowed to vote or drink, or as in Jenny's case, drive. INEXPERIENCE! She was a trusting, naive girl, who was raised to respect her elsers and authority. She did not question what the cops did or said and she believed them when they said that if she did what they asked she would go home. Why was she tried as an adult and why was the other evidence sealed? Obviously her "friend" conspired with the two guys involved. I feel that if you are not considered mature enough to drive or go on a field trip without a parental consent, you are not allowed to gamble wirh your life. Do they have child labor laws in Texas

This is so typical of the racial injustices of the dirty south. There is no way this young woman should be in jail or charged with this crime. For everyone who railroaded this young woman, I pray God be the judge of their lives and heart.

It really saddens me that these things happen. A black girl on trial for murder in Texas, she never stood a chance. I can't even magine how scared she must have been, wondering what was happening. Shame on those men that put her away. What cowards to lock up a teenage girl.

I saw her case on Crime Watch and it brought me to tears. I hope she can get freedom soon.
