I have created this petition on behalf of Jennifer in the hopes that the public would learn about Jennifers plight with the court system.Based on being a minor at the time of her arrest,arreignment and conviction by the court of Texas for a capitol crime and given a life sentence for a crime she didn't commit further stating as a result of being a minor and not knowing anything as to the application of the law in this case,and her rights as a minor,and the protections afforded to minors was not acknowledged or recognized under the law at the time of this situation.The case of appeals is listed under findcaselaw.com Jeffley v State if you will notice the dates of when this crime occured are wrong, they stated in court records as a monday when this crime occured when in fact the 29th 1996 was on a tuesday there are other discrefencies with what happened as to why would a janitor go through a patio door instead of simply waiting for the police to arrive? due to the fact a person has no wayof knowing if anybody was still in the apt?By signing this petition we can speak up on Jennifers behalf with this petition we hope to present it to the OCA in the hopes of a new trial or to have this conviction overturned and give Jennifer the justice she needs which has eluded her for so long,at 15 life is just the beginning of growing up,but to be raised by the prison system is something nobody should or would want to endure Thank you.
