I’m a parent and the majority of my clothes do not meet the dress code. A small hole on the thigh gets you Dress coded. Really? Too much shoulder and collar bone shows- Dress code. Really? If boys are distracted by a shoulder, maybe we should get a psychiatrist in the schools. Quality education time should not be disrupted because a student decided to wear comfy running shorts or leggings to school. Maybe more time should be focused on monitoring the bathrooms where kids are doing drugs or the parking lots. Instead time is being spent harrassing young girls. Focus should be on learning and safety.

My daughter feels like she cannot wear anything but jeans to school to ensure that she does not get pulled from class for a dress code violation. Even with that, you must be careful to have jeans that fit the dress code. It seems that the dress code at LB is more distracting than constructive. Based on much of the grammar seen in the comments, I think it is important that we limit the missed class time for students and focus on quality education.

This is something I have felt so strongly about. We need to change the social constraints that the public puts on women and the sexualization of children and bodies in general.

Just please make the girls happy, it’s always a complaint, dress code this dress code that its really annoying. For real just a little bit like maybe just allow shoulder less and spaghetti strap tops PLEASE!

Lord Botetourt definitely needs to change dress code, I would love for the school to go buy some cute clothes that are in dress code.
