Over the past year, many parents and students have begun to launch movements against over testing and the high stakes testing movement. They have begun to realize that their children are being stripped of an authentic educational experience that instead hinges on how they perform on a series of test over a period of a few days. Many states have passed laws that tie student test performance to grade promotion, the ability to obtain a driver’s license, and even the earning of a diploma. I think that there shouldn't be a EOC for every class. It causes stress to the students, teachers, and administrators not to mention it puts teachers jobs on the line. Many teachers have lost there jobs from test that they were evaluated on like this new test the FSA (Florida State Assessment) its a new test that just came out this year (2015). It has never been implemented before or used in schools so there is no standards for it yet high school students are going to get graded on it still and teachers evaluation is going to be based off of it. Also we have a EOC for every class we take even if it is a executive intern class not to mention the technology overload the state and schools will have to face from about 2.7 million Florida students getting on that test at once they have estimated that it will take about 60 days to test everybody. This is why I think that we are over tested and we need to make a stand against all the tests we have to take try at least.
