We are opposed to the presence of the Vodafone antenna system on Forsythia House, Brockley.

This is not acceptable and needs consultation with all local residents, workers, schools & nurseries.

Bad practise

No consultation before placing this antenna system, in a residential area, is bad practice. Each Council has a duty of care to its residents. We need to see the Council taking this seriously.

If the residents were not consulted and have said they do not want it, it should be removed immediately.

We have no idea of the effects of this type of construction. We have already said we do not want it in this densely populated location. We need a legal consultation and, in the meantime, this needs to come down.

Yes, we need far better mobile reception here. But doing it in this way is not on. Masts could be sited on the local Church or spaces where consultation leads to a positive welcome. The local council, in cahoots with Vodafone, have behaved in a very high handed fashion.

It can't be right that residents concerns were disregarded. I live right at the back of Forsythia house, my kids go to the school close by. I want reassurance this isn't harmful

Putting the antenna system onto that specific building, and in this area, is the equivalent of placing one on the top of a hospital. There are so many nurseries and schools here,at least six! It can be severely damaging to children's' and other residents health, due to the abnormal amount of radiation the antenna releases. My question: why was it put there, and how was it allowed?

Such proximity to educational premises and no consultation is not ok

I live in Wallbutton Rd.I saw just one poster on a tree at the entrance to Askes Primary school, opposite St Catherines Church. I photocopied it & am putting some more on trees & through doors. I'm wondering how many people are aware of it. If you can, please spread the word, or print the petition page and post through doors. We have three young children and are furious we have been put in this worrying position.

My partner and I live on Pendrell Road where this monstrosity has been erected, and I do not know where to begin with how appalled we are by the whole process of this been installed. We were not notified by the council of these works, nor did we receive notification that our street would be closed during the day for the weeks they took to install it. Not so much as a letter through the door! The mast is obviously a major concern regarding the effect it will have on local people's health- which is why I can believe it has been placed equidantance to two large schools at either end of the road! I also really feel for the locals that have struggled with the gruelling process of planning permission with the council, in order to improve their homes and accommodate growing family's that can't afford to upscale, or those that love the area and wish to make improvements to their homes ( all in keeping with the lovely conservation guidelines). We personally have found Lewisham council to be less that useless when it comes to making changes to homes in this area and so I can't even begin to describe how much it boils my blood to see that monstrosity plonked at the end of the street. If who ever is running the petition requires any assistance with progressing this matter, I am more than happy to help.

This was erected without a proper consultation. How about asking the public what we think about it?

Please find a more suitable site for the antenna, this clearly isn't suitable and locals haven't been involved in the decision to install it here
