I know there is an upwelling of negativity arising from the terrible design decision of making players of Elite Dangerous having to go through the whole g1-g5 process with every individual module as it currently is implemented in beyond beta. This is a very laborious process of gathering materials in game to roll multiple g1 mods to gain access to g2 mods, to roll multiple g2 mods to gain access to g3 mods, to roll multiple g3 mods to gain access to g4 mods, to roll multiple g4 mods to get access to g5 mods, then theoretically multiple g5 rolls to get the best out of it the new engineering system, which is still less of an upgrade than can be in one G5 roll in the current, outgoing, system.

To quantify our displeasure in something more tangible than a forum / reddit / discord rant, I'm proposing that we the community galvanise our displeasure at the new system in the form of an embargo on microtransactions. That is to say by signing this petition you are attesting to your dissatisfaction with the new engineering system, and pledging to vote with your wallet by not buy anything else from the frontier store until this nonsensical system is removed. This will give Frontier something to note when they see a downturn in store revenue and may bring them to the negotiating table. The reason I am suggesting such drastic action is they have already been made aware of our concerns in advance of this beta and proceeded with their plans unabated and blatantly disregarding the opinions of us the players, their customers.
