Hello, all-- this is an open petition for the students, families, and alumni of Westminster Choir College to urge the administration to address the seriously disgusting and unsanitary conditions of WCC's dining commons and food.

Please sign your name and help us get our money's worth from this incredible school-- we need at least 1/4 of the student body to sign for the issue to be legitimately considered by the college administration and health departments.

If you're interested in the details please contact me, Vivienne Longstreet, by email [email protected] and I'll be happy to forward you the letter of complaint I have sent out that lists the various grievances regarding this issue.

I honestly cannot believe how fast this is moving and how many people have reached out to share their own gross experiences with the food lately. It seriously makes me sick thinking about what we have been dealing with in the dining hall, but seeing everyone come together like this makes me feel like the administration might actually have to look at us for once.

I am deeply disturbed that I am discovering that absolutely nothing has been done to improve the quality of food after my complaint this past Fall. We are forced to pay an astronomical food service fee for mice to be dispensed from the coffee machine! Really?!!!!!!

As a parent, paying a very pricey Board payment each year, it is appalling to hear of the conditions in the dining hall at WCC. The Princeton campus students do not have the dining options of the Lawrencevile campus students (although the Board payment is not reduced to reflect this) they should at least have a clean, safe dining hall with balanced nutritious food options.

Gluten-free vegan. Very rarely anything besides salad that I can eat. Food is frequently mislabeled, and I have always been concerned about contamination. Additionally, food preparation and storage appears unsanitary.

During my time at WCC, I suffered from severe food poisoning, and malnutrition which made it difficult to stay healthy enough to fight illness that spread around campus like wildfire. It is disgusting and appalling. We pay the same as the main campus and deserve the same respect and resources. Enough with excuses.

I cannot believe younger students are forced to buy such an overpriced meal plan for disgusting food. My freshman and sophomore year, I was constantly having stomach issues... Since moving off campus, these issues have disappeared. I remember finding mold on the bread at least once a week.

Worst part is that the meal plans are mandatory if you live on campus. They spent a lot of money renovating the new kitchens in the dorms, and yet it doesn't really make sense to use them if we've already paid for much worse and much more expensive food. We are being forced to pay for unhealthy and unsanitary food that most of us do not want.

Students need a healthy environment and nutritious meals to stay healthy and focused.

Please review the current state of the dining facility, food options and management of the dining service. I am sure you will find opportunities for improvement across the board. The number of issues and complaints can no longer be ignored!
