Absolute joke where do the home town players go from here.the club is been running into the ground for a while.how the he'll the rugby league let this happen is beyond me.
Barry Jon Swindells gave 15 years off his heart blood sweat and tears and he been treated like this.he was a ledge of a player and a great leader and captain I feel for him and the other local players.

Absolute joke. As a player from the south east, Hemel were always the standard bearer for high quality player development, offering a true step on the pathway towards a national game. The owners / decision makers should be ashamed of their decision to remove the possibility of southern players to work towards the professional game (seriously, how many young players can afford the time or money in commuting to dewsbury?) this will be a further nail in the coffin of professional RL, and as usual the lack of vision and understanding from the decision makers mean they only have themselves to blame. My feelings go towards all the players (from mini right through to 1st grade) who will be left high and dry by this.

I have played rugby league for the last 7 or so years of my life and from a junior I have always played against Hemel and their home hasn't changed once, they have built themselves up from nothing and to take that away from the fans, the local community and the players would be a terrible decision by the club and the RFL, Hemel Stags should stay in Hemel where they belong

I've been at the club for over 10 years now as a player, a coach and a volunteer. When I started there was a clear path to Hemel Stags first team. When I coached there was also the same. I've never played for the 1st team so I can only comment on experience from when Troy coached me as an amateur but what I can commwent on is the experience good friends along the way have told me. His man management skills are non existent and doesn't. This move has no benefit on Hemel stags what so ever. Even Dewsbury are laughing and calling us there 2nd team. Yet Hemel are meant to be keeping their own identity?
If 10 people, excluding Troy Perkins, Bob brown or the Dewsbury director can honestly say this is a good move then I will happily walk away

My son plays for Hemel Stags U15's and is passionate about staying a Stag for as long as possible. It's his local team and his age group is currently made up of local players, the majority of which will most likely move up through the age groups as a Hemel Stag. What will happen when they get to the semi-pro level with no Hemel team to move into? I'd like to think that the hard work put into the younger age groups and the talent that is being developed there could be retained under the Hemel Stags name.
