There are enough Northern teams ,why take away a flourishing club from its routes . The whole point of these clubs is to expand the game and this is just a ridiculous decision.

What a totally stupid decision to make, how do they expect lads to travel so far , then expect them to do a full training session , the powers that be sometimes seem to live in another world to the rest of us . lets keep these heartland clubs going, signed and shared , good luck

Nothing short of madness & will kill whatever chance Rugby League has down south , 1020 miles round trip every week for the lads from Hemel Hempstead to go training will be a killer , How are we supposed to keep never mind get lads from down south interested in the game .

I am a Wigan fan and find it disgusting that the board/owners of Hemel Stags are willing merge with a club 170 miles away. How can this be promoting the game down south.

How can you expect locals to become involved and expand the game if this kind of arrangement is introduced?

How is it possible to do this.

Moving training to Dewsbury is ridiculous. I could understand merging with a SL club who'd Base training in Hemel...but Dewsbury!

Thought the idea of Stags joining the higher rank of rugby league was to help rugby league grow in the south and nurture local southern talent...this does not appear to be a sensible way of achieving that aim...
