Concerning the 2014 Bubble Players

THE BUBBLE PLAYERS HAVE THE JOB OF DOUBLE DUTY EVERY WEEK FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON.

They attend the JV team meal and then attend the JV game.

They attend the Varsity team meal and then attend the Varsity game.

They are included in the 5th quarter after party for every home game.

They all work out together in the weight room.

They attend JV practice and then immediately turn around and join in on the remainder of the Varsity practice.

They attend specials with the Varsity.

They attend Saturday practices with the Varsity team.

They attend Varsity game film where it is watched and discussed.

They attend all Varsity meetings.

Our bubble players are just as much a part of the WCHS Varsity FB team as a rest of the Varsity FB team.

They put in the time and the effort. They do everything that is required and asked of them. They work hard all season long, ready to go in at a moments notice and are supportive of the Varsity team whether they play in the game or not. It doesn’t matter if they’ve stood on the sideline and never played 1 minute in a Varsity game. They were still there, giving of their attention, their time and their support. It is awful to make them put in all this work all season long and then when it comes time for rah-rah, the party and the acknowledgement…they are left out.

It is wrong, hurtful and insulting for the JV bubble players to be excluded from the Varsity Banquet!

No one is asking for them to be given a Varsity letter, a pin, special award or any gifts. We are asking for them to be acknowledged and mentioned as being a big support to the Varsity team. They deserve to attend the Varsity banquet and be acknowledged!
