Winnifred is probably one of the last free natural healing therapies we have as a people, as successive governments have privatized everything; and we all know the government is POOR at managing anything! Why other Caribbean islands beaches remain public to the locals. To the government of Jamaica and UDC I plead let Winifred Beach remain a public beach. I am a tourism graduate of UWI .
UDC,Govt of jamaica and TPDC , you can agree that the Touism program at UWI has taught us and publish researches of what happens when these preserved areas are developed it only leads to environmental calamities instead of positive outcome. Look at Negril 7 miles of beach it is no secret that the marine life is almost extinct

Fix the sanitary conveniences and the access roads, ensure that the garbage is collected and properly disposed of, work out some licencing arrangement for the very limited number of vendors and leave the rest to nature.
