WAX TRAX! is a clear example of the city's history as a vibrant home to music and should be officially recognized as such.

Wax Trax! is the best record label in the world! I wish I got to visit the storefront back in the day, but I love so many artists who released music through their label. They continue to do great things today. Thank you Julia and the rest of the Wax Trax! crew!

Waxtrax! Records is one of those things that has influenced and changed so much but doesn't get the mainstream recognition. Many people are familiar with the bands that were influenced/inspired and came later, but not the store, label, founders and first wave of bands that Jim and Danny saw the potential of. Waxtrax has it's place among other groundbreaking labels such as Sun and Motown.
