The store, it's welcoming and non-judgmental atmosphere, and all the people I met within were an important part of growing up in Chicagoland.

Long before i lived here, I used to travel to Chicago back in the late 80's/Early 90s just to visit friends and shop at Wax Trax!

This is an important building to the history of the Chicago music scene! Too many buildings that make the city culturally significant and relevant have been destroyed.

Please designate the Wax Trax building as an official historic Chicago Landmark. This store is an integral piece of Chicago history.

I definitely was a vinyl record shopper Wax Trax! Records (note the “!” in the name, Wax Trax Records in Denver still exists) from the early 80s to 1995 at their location on 2449 N Lincoln Ave, near the DePaul campus by the intersection of Halsted, Fullerton and Lincoln Ave before it moved to 1659 N. Damen Avenue in Wicker Parker where I then stopped shopping.

This should have been designated an official historic landmark years ago.
