I still have some Police and other fun-funky pins that I bought from Wax Trax in the mid-1980s. LOVED that store!

Enough tearing down buildings that are better built then anything put up now. Renovate not obliterate!

In the late 80's and early 90's my visits to WAX TRAX! changed my life (for the better). So many great conversations with staff and other customers lead to so many great musical discoveries.

This location was a weekly pilgrimage for me. I would ride the el from Evanston get off at Belmont and walk down Clark St to Fullerton. I’d save Wax Trax for the last stop of my trip so I wouldn’t have to carry my records the whole way. It was one of the places on those walks that made me the person I am today and I hope it lives on as a landmark to that time.
