Wax Trax has always given me a local sense of pride, as an example of what made this city so great. It would mean a lot to me if this landmark is granted.

The Wax Trax record store was such a hub for the new music coming from all over Europe and other parts of America. It truly is a landmark to many record-collecting hearts.

Great store! Also had a great 60's punk section and the place to go for import 7's. Now selling off a lot of great gig flyers I got from there. Supplied WZRD with lots of great music which is now loved worldwide. This store is definitely a landmark!

Growing up in the far south suburbs, we did not have much. We would listen to Skafish on the Big Beat every Friday night and head to Wax Trax! every Saturday. When I got a job in Chicago I moved within a few blocks of the store. Bought a lot of great music and memorabilia there. Good luck and I hope you succeed.

I'm a South sider and this place was extremely important to me. I've always listened to all types of music, and this place became my second home. I cherish my memories of weekends spent digging thru the crates, and still play the vinyl I bought back in the 80s and 90s. Long live Wax Trax!

Wax Trax influenced my life in such a positive way. Most of my favorite artists all were signed to this extremely classic record company. I'm making a special trip to Chicago just to visit it. This company saved my life.

don't be a douche! one of the things America, as a whole, is TERRIBLE at is we tear things down and replace it with something new and cheap and not withstanding. Ever wonder why Americans dream and wish to do things like backpack thru Europe or wish their honeymoons overseas? It's because other countries hold their history, including Architectural history, to a high esteem! People WANT to see places of history and they want to walk in the footsteps of those that came before them. History is an important thing to preserve. History has a voice . This current, modern day, seems to be all about what's new and today but today wouldn't be here if yesterday didn't happen. preserve yesterday!
