The artists that walked through these doors have helped to shape my life, and the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. The bands that Wax Trax! has promoted over the years continue to influence each new generation of artists, and as such this building is a monument to music, not just in Chicago but world wide.

Wax Trax has been a landmark for my friends, my family and myself to visit every time we are back in Chicago since ‘79. It is synonymous with Chicago for us. It is an important part of Chicago history and music. Please preserve that history.

Wax Trax was one of many spots were us DJs would always come too because we knew that this place would have it. The culture, the flava. The atmosphere just breathed diversity, creativity, and love. That history needs to be shared with future generations to show the Chibreezy is and will always be an icon in the music industry

The Chicago Department of Tourism needs to support this effort to save this location and they can offer this as another place to visit for our out of town guests.
