Although I now live in CA, this place taught me about music back when I was a teen and in my early 20’s. I’ll forever feel nostalgic…

wax trax was THE place in chicago in the 80’s. influential to so many of my youth breaking music barriers within and without the music scene. i spun many of their records they promoted at a small suburban chicago radio station (wrrg 88.9fm) on a late night show called ‘synthesis’ in the mid-late 80’s. life with the wax trax culture would not be the same without them. thank you for all the years of inspiration.

For a suburban teen in the 80’s, Wax Trax is a memory that shouldn’t be removed for so many people!

Encouraged new music not just in Chicago or our country, but the whole world. More influential than E. Presley, or Beatles, imo.

This should be saved as it is vital to a scene in Chicago that defined my childhood and teen years. Protect it!
WaxTrax! should remain a landmark.
