I still visit Wax Trax in my mind. The plaque is the least we could do for the memory of that music haven of my youth.

I spent a lot of time here when I was young, not realizing the Chicago history that was being made; that would eventually change music globally.

Wax Trax! has been a vital part of my life. It wasn't just a brand or a store, it was a way of life!! They gave us a voice that was never heard before and were such a vital part of the Chicago music scene in the 80's and 90's!!! Wax Trax! also impacted lives around the world, they were/are a major cultural and historic presence which deserves to be recognized. I ask that you make 2449 N. Lincoln Ave. a historic landmark!!

Wax Trax showed me the world of industrial/electronic music, and inspired me to become an electronic musician myself. I'm just one of thousands of people across America and the world that where inspired by the cutting edge stuff Wax Trax had their hand in making back in the day. I still listen to alot of their bands frequently. Please preserve the building, its a piece of American Cultural history

Late 80's was one of my favorite memories there. Those record stores were my church, and this one was one of my favs.
