We need this. We really, really need this.
Not only does it create growth in the Wattpad society, this actually promotes reading between people of every age. The government has been trying to do this since forever. I don't see why not.
Also, it gives the more renowned authors a new experience: sharing their story in front of a stage. Most of these authors are everyday people, nobody extraordinary. This kind of event would certainly be a life-time opportunity for ordinary people.
The up and coming authors would see this as a, shall I say, "goal". Being featured in an event such as this would give them a big boost in popularity—something every author needs. And things like this don't require 20-30k followers to participate, but it certaimly gives out a high reward in exchange.
I could go on and on, but I'm afraid I am running out of time. If you have been to Vid Con, you'll certainly come to see the power this kind of event could cause to Wattpad. I would most certainly look forward to this event.
